Who is the Giving Group?
The Giving Group is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that collects contributions from Denver Giving Group members and sends them to the selected non-profits in one lump sum.
A few benefits to our partnership with The Giving Group:

You only have one organization to track for tax purposes each year (rather than four)
The subscription options make budgeting and scheduling your donations super easy and manageable
What’s up with the 3% Fee?
The extra 3% is divided between credit card processing costs (2.57%) and legal and administrative fees for The Giving Group (0.43%).
What if I “Opt-Out” for a Quarter?
This is not a problem at all! Simply click on the link provided in any of the emails The Giving Group sends you to access your subscription account, and choose the “Skip Your Next Donation Due” button. If you cannot find a mail from The Giving Group, please email info@denvergivinggroup.org and we will send you an email.
How do I leave the Group?
We would be sad to see you go, but you can access your subscription account from any email The Giving Group sends you. To cancel, you can click on the “Cancel Denver Giving Group Membership – Permanently” button. If you cannot find a mail from The Giving Group, please email il info@denvergivinggroup.org and we will send you an email.
How do I sign up?
Signing up is so easy. Click JOIN on at the top of the page nav. It’ll walk you through the sign in process and give you options to add an automatic payment.
Can I pay by check?
At this time, we are only able to accept credit card payments from members. However, we have ACH payments on our future roadmap and will update the group when that option is available.
Who does the tax form come from?
The tax form will be an email from The Giving Group at the end of the year, indicating the total amount that you have donated for the given year. We will include the 501c3 information for your taxes.
What will show up on my credit card statement?
You will see a charge from The Giving Group for the amount that we indicated when you signed up.
Will my information be shared with the non-profits?
No, we will not send any personal information to the non-profit about who has donated. If you would like to be recognized by the non-profit and be added to their mailing list, please contact the non-profit and give them your information and how much you donated through the Denver Giving Group .
How do I submit an Employer match?
Members should request that their employer send the matching funds directly to the chosen nonprofit. Because matching funds are sent to The Giving Group in bulk, this helps to alleviate confusion. If that isn’t possible, you can send the matching funds to The Giving Group, EIN of 81-3199292. Please make sure you put in the notes of the match that you are from Denver Giving Group, as The Giving Group has many groups they sponsor.
